DID YOU KNOW?

The Canadian government is rated the best in the world for online services for the fourth year in a row.  The rating is performed by Accenture (a consulting firm with a yearly turnover of 12 billion dollars) which analyzes the online services of 22 countries.  Canada received a grade of 80 before the United States and Singapore (67), Australia, Sweden, Finland and Denmark (58), Holland and England (55), Belgium, Ireland and Japan (51), Germany (50), Norway and Spain (49).

The online information services of the Canadian Government were installed and are maintained by PWGSC  (Public Works and Government Services Canada), an organization composed of 13,000 people which supplies services to Canadian Government bodies in various areas.  In contrast to Israeli Government sites which stress the activities and services of a given office the Canadians organize their information according to segments that interest the web surfer and every aspect of the site is organized according to this principle.  The information is organized with three target groups in mind: Canadians, non-Canadians and Canadian businesses.
