· Interest for partners and new solutions in areas, such as: Satellite connectivity for Telemedicine in remote regions

· Next generation of patient records through Telemedicine and distribution (e.g., new technologies that would provide an instant messaging distribution network)

· RFID in healthcare (asset management/ locator services for patients/resources), generally, Telemedicine from a patient's perspective – technologies making it simple and easy

· Wireless and mobility in Telemedicine solutions

Qualification of Interests and Next Steps:

· Review France Telecom’s Focus List (see above) and determine your organization's area of interest.

· Ensure that your organization has relevant published scientific papers, presentations and/or patents that can be reviewed by the France Telecom evaluation team.

· Contact CATAAlliance with your expression of interest, providing key contact and background information. Your organization will then be provided with a simple template for completion.

· Confirm your CATA membership status. Processing fees may apply

· All expressions of interest must be submitted by April 15th, 2007, 17:00 EST

Future Focus Technologies and Platforms

· France Telecom will review information from selected candidates to determine which areas are of specific interest for future follow-up.

· France Telecom will coordinate internally to make sure that each selected Canadian company would be able to meet with the appropriate Director. Follow-up could take several forms including teleconference, videoconferences and site visits (R&D Labs, see below) to determine the appropriate vehicle for collaboration.

Depending on level of interest, qualified candidates will be invited to briefing sessions at the France Telecom R&D Lab in Boston. The Lab’s mission is to turn technologies from the “Ecosystem” into innovative products and services through mobilizing the resources of a small, multidisciplinary international team, able to quickly leverage a pool of global resources and apply rapid prototyping to real world business problems… .
